The CSC20 helmet was born from a critical need in police work: to protect the detainee from themselves and to protect the officer from the detainee. Based on martial arts designs but evolved with superior materials, its function is to prevent violent detainees from self-harming (by striking their head) during transport or while in custody.

1. Superior Impact Absorption (Hyperfoam)

The helmet's core is made from high-density Hyperfoam, which is superior to that used in sports training helmets. This provides an excellent capacity to absorb the energy generated from impacts against hard objects, effectively protecting the detainee. The design provides comprehensive coverage for the entire head, including ears and chin.

2. Anti-Aggression and Anti-Claustrophobia Face Shield

• Total Facial Protection: It includes an integral transparent polycarbonate face shield that protects the detainee's entire face (eyes, nose, mouth) from impacts.
• Officer Protection (Anti-Spit): The shield's design, although perforated, effectively prevents the detainee from spitting on the custodial officers.
• Ventilation and Communication: The shield and helmet have multiple holes and openings to ensure constant ventilation, allowing the detainee to breathe normally and communicate, thus preventing feelings of suffocation or claustrophobia.

3. Secure, Hygienic, and Practical Design

• Security Fastening: It fastens at the nape of the neck with an elastic strap and Velcro. This position makes it virtually impossible for the detainee to remove if they are handcuffed with their hands behind their back.

• Hygienic Materials: The helmet is made in one piece and lined with a hypoallergenic leatherette, making it comfortable, safe, and, most importantly, easy to clean and disinfect between uses.

Cleaning and Disinfection Protocol

To ensure hygiene between uses, follow this protocol:

• Wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
• For deep disinfection, use a wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol or a specific disinfectant solution for personal use items.
• Use cotton swabs or soft brushes to clean and disinfect corners and ventilation holes.
• CAUTION: Do not submerge the helmet in liquid. Avoid excessive moisture and do not use harsh chemicals like bleach or glass cleaner, as they could damage the integrity of the Hyperfoam.
• Let the helmet air dry completely in a ventilated area before its next use.
