The CSC26 ACH ballistic helmet provides NIJ IIIA protection and STANAG 2920 V50 700 m/s fragmentation resistance, weighing only 1.35 kg. Manufactured in aramid fibers (Kevlar), it features military Picatinny rails and integrated NVG mount for maximum operational performance in demanding tactical environments.
Ultralight ACH Ballistic Helmet CSC26 – NIJ IIIA+ V50 700 m/s
The CSC26 is the latest special operations helmet developed by Nidec Defense. Originally designed for U.S. Army airborne special intervention units, it responds to the need for a more compact helmet than PASGT or PASCUT models, especially in confined environments such as aircraft and helicopters.
Operational Design & Ergonomics
- Compact format optimized for aircraft and confined spaces.
- Extended rear coverage for increased base-of-skull protection.
- 4-point retention system anchored with ballistic-grade screws.
- Front and rear Dial-Lock adjustment system for precise head fit.
- Comfortable compatibility with long firearms and communication systems.
Accessory System
- Military standard lateral Picatinny rails.
- Integrated universal NVG mount.
- Compatible with flashlights, IR signaling devices and Picatinny accessories.
Material & Composition
- Manufactured in aramid fibers (Kevlar).
- Proprietary composite system using pressed aramid fabric and resin.
- Excellent ballistic performance in all climates.
- Low backface deformation upon ballistic impact.
- Flame retardant.
Technical comparison: Externally similar helmets made of PE (High Density Polyethylene) exist. Although they offer good anti-fragment protection at lower cost, they are not recommended for hot climates and produce greater backface deformation compared to layered aramid fabric helmets.
Internal Padding System
- 5 viscoelastic gel pads secured with Velcro.
- Internal diameter adjustment via Dial-Lock system.
- Dedicated nape padding.
- MIL nylon cross retention straps for enhanced stability.
