The KCH10 Basic Fingerprint Kit is the entry point into the world of field latent print processing. Designed to be compact, easy to use, and affordable, it contains all the fundamental tools for an officer or student to effectively develop and lift latent prints from non-porous surfaces.

Fundamental Development Components

• Contrast Powders (Black & White): Includes the two basic colors of oxide-type powder (standard black and indestructible white) to ensure good contrast on most smooth surfaces.
• Soft Brushes: Two soft application brushes, designed to gently deposit powder onto the print without damaging it.

Lifting and Initial Documentation

• Lifters (Backing Cards): Includes 6 lifters (2 clear, 2 white, 2 black) in standard size (5.1 x 10.2 cm), allowing the developed print to be lifted and mounted onto a contrasting background for later analysis and photography.
• Magnifying Glass: A 3x magnifier facilitates preliminary visual inspection of developed prints for characteristic points.
