PepperBall manufactures .68 caliber frangible ammunition with stabilizing fins, achieving accuracy and range that standard spherical (ball) rounds cannot match. Compared to conventional ammunition, VXR nearly triples the range and precision.
It is the only round with ASTM certification for police and military use of non-lethal or less-lethal equipment. Each projectile is ultrasonically sealed, making it 100% submersible, and is made from biodegradable plastics and is non-flammable.

Upon impact with a person or object, the VXR round disintegrates due to its frangible design, releasing its interior powder payload and forming a cloud up to 4 meters in diameter within seconds of impact.

VXR Projectile Velocity & Performance

VXR projectiles are designed to deliver optimal performance at muzzle velocities between 380 and 385 fps (approx. 117 m/s), providing enhanced accuracy and shot stability.

The PepperBall VKS launcher is factory-set to a muzzle velocity of approximately 290–300 fps (approx. 90 m/s), optimized for standard spherical projectiles (BGO).

To achieve maximum performance with VXR projectiles, it is recommended to use VKS launchers specifically configured to reach higher velocities, ensuring a more precise and effective trajectory while remaining within ASTM (law enforcement) standards at a distance of 45 meters.
