The CFR30 is a next-generation safety tube designed to capture any accidental discharge that may occur during the dry firing step at the end of the firearm unloading procedure. Compact, lightweight and internationally certified, it represents a radical departure from traditional cold zone solutions.

What Is a Cold Zone and What Advantage Does the CFR30 Offer?

Traditional cold zones are large, heavy drawers, cabinets or booths designed to absorb accidental discharges during firearm handling. The CFR30 breaks this mould: infinitely smaller and lighter, it can be installed on a desk, mounted on a wall, placed in a patrol car boot or set on a wheeled stand — without compromising safety or effectiveness.

The Ideal Combination: CFR30 + CFR68

The CFR30 is the ideal complement to the CFR68 safety module cold zone. While the CFR68 module allows full firearm handling within its interior, the CFR30 bullet trap tube handles specifically the safe dry firing step at the end of the unloading process. Together they form a comprehensive solution for safe firearm handling.

Construction and Retention System

• Special alloy steel: manufactured from high ballistic-resistance materials.
• Compressed bullet stoper propietary rubber material: high-density absorbent material fitted inside to stop and retain the projectile.
• Unidirectional plug: allows the weapon muzzle to be inserted slightly and prevents, in the event of accidental discharge, the projectile or its fragments from bouncing back out.

Ballistic Certification

The CFR30 has been certified under several standards such as the german standards VPAM ARG 2012 (25.05.2012) and VPAM 2006 (25.10.2007). It stops any accidental discharge from any calibre fired from a short or long firearm whose initial energy does not exceed 7,000 Joules. This includes, among others, the following calibres:

• 5.56 mm
• 7.62 mm
• 30.06
• 12GA

The model has been independently tested in several ballistic laboratories, with both short and long firearms.

Safety modules or cold zones are not designed to stop projectiles on a regular basis. They are not miniature shooting ranges. This product is designed so that, in the event of improper firearm handling resulting in an accidental discharge, the projectile is captured inside the cold zone without further consequences.
