The BCP30 spike chain is the direct result of collaboration and experience from Police Forces. We listened to their needs and improved the traditional design to offer a vehicle control tool that is safer for the officer and highly effective in its purpose: stopping fleeing vehicles.

Key Innovation: Safe Deployment with Cord

The main difference and tactical advantage of the BCP30 is its deployment system:

• 5-Meter Throwing Cord: Unlike other systems that require the officer to throw the chain directly, the BCP30 incorporates 5 meters of durable cord without spikes. This allows the officer to place the cord on the road and, only if necessary, pull it forcefully from a safe position (e.g., the shoulder) to deploy the 5 meters of spikes just as the target vehicle passes.
• Eliminates Officer Risk: This system prevents the officer from having to expose themselves on the roadway holding the chain or risk being dragged if it becomes entangled in the wheels.

Proven Effectiveness: Piercing Tetrahedrons

• 68 Duralumin Tetrahedrons: The chain consists of 68 tetrahedron-shaped spikes made of non-deformable aerospace-grade duralumin. This design ensures that regardless of how the chain lands, there will always be points facing upwards.
• Rapid Deflation: The triangular cross-section of the tetrahedrons is designed to cause rapid and effective deflation of tires upon penetration.

Robust Construction and Complete Kit

• Stainless Steel Core: The tetrahedrons are linked by a strong stainless steel cable, protected by a PVC tube for increased durability. The ends terminate in loops to facilitate anchoring to a fixed point (stake included).
• Metal Carrying Case: The system is delivered in a sturdy metal case for secure transport and storage in the patrol vehicle.
• Protective Gloves: Puncture-resistant gloves are included for safe handling of the chain during deployment and retrieval.
